Jane (The Boss!)
I have been working with horses since the age of 16. I became a BHS Intermediate Instructor (both stable management and riding parts held) over 15 years ago. I have the BHS Stage 4 Coaching certificate. I also have a Diploma in teaching and lifelong learning. I have a wealth of knowledge from training point to point horses, working on dealing yards, producing showing horses to HOYS level. Currently training to Medium/Advanced Level Dressage on Sir Baltimore with Mette Assouline and Emile Faurie.
I love teaching and watching clients improve and achieve their own ambitions and dreams. Braeside started out as a small family business and has progressed into what it is today whilst retaining the same family friendly values.
I trained at Braeside for my Level 2 and 3 City and Guilds Work based Diploma. I recently passed my BHS Stage 3 with flying colours, shortly followed by my BHS AI qualification which qualifies me as a Stage 3 Coach. I am currently training for my BHS Stage 4. I thoroughly enjoy teaching students of all abilities and watching them progress and improve lesson by lesson. I also organise the Pony Club activities and camps. Riding is still a huge hobby of mine so even though I work with all these beautiful horses and ponies everyday; I try to ride in my spare time (if I have any!!) I also really enjoy running with my bouncy chocolate Labrador Milo; we plan to do a sponsored run one day! In the near future I would love to have a project horse of my own to get out and about and compete on.
I have recently completed my Level 3 City and Guilds Work Based Horse Care Diploma and coaching after successfully completing level 2. I've also passed my Ride and Road Safety and First Aid at Work courses.
I particularly enjoy teaching my clients from the Inspire Funds charity funded by Dover District Council. I have my own horse who I like to jump, I plan to get him out competing this season. I've owned him for almost 3 years and he is my pride and joy.
I recently passed my City and Guilds Level 3 Work Based Diploma in Horse Care and Coaching, my aim is to complete all my BHS stages. I enjoy working alongside my colleague Sanchez with Inspire Funds clients and Ali with the Youth Group. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my 2 cocker spaniels Millie and Pepper.
I trained at Braeside from leaving school. Gained my NVQ Level 3, BHS AI parts of Stage 4 care. I aim to complete the BHS Stage 4 and gain BHS II in the near future. I enjoy teaching a variety of different riders of all abilities and bringing on and producing horses; this currently being my 4 year old Connemara who proved very successful at showing last season. I am intending to compete him in dressage, Showjumping and Working Hunter. My main role at Braeside is the training of the college students. My dog Scooby joins me at the yard most days and thoroughly enjoys coming to 'work'!
